Education and Experience
I've been an editor for the past four years. I have two BA's in English for Creative Writing, and World Languages and Cultures for Applied Linguistics. My background includes intensive knowledge of the development of stories, and understanding of mechanics, grammar, and style. I also have English teaching experience as a First Year Composition instructor, experience as an indie publishing intern, and have recently joined the editorial team of Creation Magazine.
I am currently working toward a Professional and Technical Communication certificate, as well as a Poynter ACES Certificate in Editing. I will graduate with my MA in Rhetoric and Composition in the spring of 2026.
All editing services are compliant with industry standards and CMOS. I am trained to work with both American and British English.

PROOFREADING

Proofreading consists of minor mechanical and grammatical corrections, as well as spell checking.
COPY EDITS

Copy edits cover readability, including mechanics, grammar, and style. I look for typos, grammatical errors, and tense continuity. I accept both academic and personal pieces. I always include proofreading in my copyediting prices.
LINE EDITS

Line edits cover the literary quality of a manuscript. This means that I go line by line looking for the best way to phrase each sentence, accounting for writing style.
BOOK COACHING

Book coaching includes services such as helping you outline, basic developmental edits, figuring out what you want to do with your book, and figuring out a marketing plan. I'll teach you the differences between the types of publishing, and walk you through whichever path you choose.
